Coast and Fjords of Norway

Flagstaff Cohousing member, Carol Scholing, recently returned from sailing the coast and fjords of Norway.  It sure was cold up there at  North Cape, nearly the northernmost point in Europe.  But crossing into the Arctic Circle and being in the Land of the Midnight Sun was quite exciting.  — yes, we did see the sun on some days and it did indeed shine brightly at midnight.  The views were spectacular and none of the infamous Norwegian trolls caused any mischief along the way.

Carol’s favorite anecdote:  The pub grub of choice for Norwegians is a hardboiled seagull egg with their beer; this helps to keep down the seagull population!
