Flagstaff Cohousing is working to create Flagstaff’s first multi-generational cohousing community.  Please join us to learn about the concept of cohousing and its many benefits, including social support, environmental sustainability, and a stronger sense of community.  Our panelists have lived in cohousing communities in Arizona, California, and Denmark.

  • Karen Enyedy, editor, writer, researcher, and stalwart supporter of the Museum of Northern Arizona, has over 16 years of experience as a member of the Milagro Cohousing community in Tucson, AZ.

  • Bea Cooley, one of the founding members of Flagstaff Cohousing, lived in one of the early cohousing communities in Davis, California, and is committed to making this dream a reality in Flagstaff.

  • Joy Knudsen lived in the Danish cohousing community Trudeslund (trudelsund.dk) with 33 households for three years in the 1990’s, when her children were small.  During that time, she served for a year on the Board of Trudeslund and gained insight into the administration and decision-making of the community.
